Photographer John Rogers Announces New Book, New York Is Now
(New York, NY – February 9, 2025) – Renowned photographer John Rogers is proud to unveil his latest book, New York Is Now, a stunning collection of street photography exclusively captured in New York City during 2023 and 2024. This marks Rogers' third photography book and a creative departure from his previous works, which blended music and street photography.
New York Is Now offers an intimate visual exploration of the city’s streets, presenting a vivid portrait of urban life through Rogers’ lens. Unlike his earlier books, Old and New Dreams and If Only We Knew, this new work focuses solely on street photography, reflecting a contemplative pause in his ongoing trilogy.
Rogers, a New York resident for 25 years, has collaborated with celebrated musicians such as Tyshawn Sorey, Bill Frisell, and Robert Glasper. His photography journey was shaped by mentorship from acclaimed photographer Dawoud Bey, who penned the introduction to his first book.
